We all asked for it!

It was a dry spring and it was looking like a dry summer, in fact NM was on a severe drought watch... We hadn't seen rain for a very long time!  We told our Indiana family to bring the abundant rain with them when they visited NM in July... And boy did they ever!

We had the lovely sunshine rain!  Sun shining down during heavy rain, beautiful!
The kids celebrated with a parade!
 Yay, it is raining!
We have also had the drizzly cloudy all day kind of rain (which we never get :).  This calls for a water fight!
 Tongue catching
 Contagious type of laughs

 To be a kid again...
 In awe of it all!
What goes up, must come down.
 More tongue thinking.
 :)

A good view from the nice 'dry' covered patio swing.

Something is missing!

Well it finally happened around here.  We have been hearing the excitement of every single one of Joshua's friends and classmates as this has happened to each one of them over the past 2 years...  He was the only 2nd grader at his school (that we know of :) that walked into class with all his baby teeth.  For the past 2 years we have been asking the dentist when he would get a loose tooth (like all his friends of course!).  When she took his X-rays at 5, she said he probably wouldn't until his was 7.  She was right.  Finally he had a tooth that he could wiggle, jiggle and tie to a door to get it out of his mouth.  I made sure to take a before picture...
This beautiful smile...
... Is now missing something ;).

Stories from the rocking chair and other silly findings!

I love my rocking chair... I wanted a basic wooden rocker when I was pregnant with Josh and Mike managed to find me one after searching all the stores.  I have spent many, many hours rocking and reading to each of my babies on it.  Usually I will send the boys to their rooms to pick out books and start to get settled in their beds before I come read/rock them.  Lately I have been hearing giggling and story telling going on... Come see what I found!
"Carter, do you want me to read you a book?"
 "yes, Jacob!"
 AH :).
 "And this is what happened!"

Different day, different story... We now have a new pair of troublemakers in the house. This particular day, I was being paged to the their bedroom to meet the new superheroes: "Underwear guys!".
Yes, I know they ALWAYS appear to be playing in only their underwear- but this day they were wearing the whole drawer of underwear!
Oh, the fun!
"I got 'underers' on 'bine'(my) head"
Jake, the super duper double wearer!
And Carter, the mean green man!
This is my Monday & Wednesday Crew this year... I think they will be wrangling Austin into their silly club!

Austin 5 months

Our little rollie pollie has passed the 1/2 year mark!  He is quite the snuggle bug, big as ever and active!  His squishable thighs are his little trademark right now.  What a sweetie pie he is!
Weeeee!
These two not only look alike, they are buddies!
They hang out together.
Precious sleeping baby!

He is usually hanging out with one of his brothers!
So long!

Tickles and belly laughs!
His little chunky legs are flexible!  He sucks his toes :).

Making raspberries with that pointy little tongue!
 Well hello!
He is starting to sit up!
 We love him to pieces!

Back to school 2013

We just finished our 4th week of school and are finally getting the hang of schedules, homework, packing lunches & post school day attitudes!  Everyone seems to be off to a great start & I forgot how fun kindergarten is :).
The slightly-timid kinder and the confident 2nd grader.

It was an early morning!
 On their way...
Kyle got the same kinder teacher as Josh :).
Josh didn't want us taking a picture of him so we snuck one through the window.
Pre-K at a new place for Jacob :).
This is the first time he has done something on his own, so proud!
I think he will be just fine!
