3 months old- Carter

Another month to write off for our beaming baby!  And I do mean beaming- you can't get this little guy to stop smiling if you tried!  I remember the other boys smiling lots at this age, but it was hard to capture it in a picture... Not little C, he shows off his little half circle grin.
This is one of my all time favorite pictures!  Daddy Love :).
He enjoys grabbing for his toys, sometime with a brother at his side!

 He loves blowing bubbles.
Oh, there is a serious face- but not for long...
 Back to the smiles!
 Lounging.
 He is starting to laugh.
I love that little pudgy face!

Just to put into perspective how quickly babies change, here are the newborn pictures that we had taken of him when he was 10 days old.

Five year old style

What happens when you go tell a five year old to get dressed?  Usually he doesn't listen too well and goes off and plays or says he needs help, but today he did exactly as he was told... Too bad his style wasn't quite there!

When I told him that his outfit didn't exactly match, he found every color from his shirt and matched it to the same color on his shorts, I guess I couldn't argue with that!  I found him a plain blue shirt before we left the house ;).

The Buzz around our house...

Being three years old has opened a huge world of imagination for K... He comes up with elaborate play pretend as he sinks into 'La, la land', a place that is very hard to draw him out of!

Pitter Patter, Pitter Patter... That is the sound we hear first thing in the morning as K comes running into our bedroom.  A happy, squeaky voice announces, "Mommy, I had a good morning nap... Can I put Buzz Light Year on?".  He has lived in this costume for the past several days, only taking it off during sleep times or when we went out.  The funny thing is, Toy Story has only been on a couple of times during his whole life and I can't remember the the last time he saw it.
"I'm Buzz Light Year"
 This is my laser
 See you push this button!
I can fly to infinity and beyond!

First Splash of the season

The warm spring weather is finally here... I think!!!  The late frosts and strong winds has kept us longing for the back yard water fights and splash contests that we have usually begun by now!  Last week we blew up the pool and filled it with boarder line frigid water from the hose.  The boys didn't seem to mind the temperature and appeared to start right where they left off last October when the pool was put away.  Oh, the fun of 12 inches of water!
Only BOYS!
Little J wasn't sure about this splashing thing at the beginning...
No fear for this three year old!

Josh got his payback splash and loved it!

This splashing thing started to look fun...
 Fun, fun, fun!
It wasn't long before little J gave it a try...
 ...And did his own splashing
Action shot of the energy of these guys... I wish I could attach a sound recording of their laughter :).
This is one intense, energy and excitement filled five year old!
Carter watched the trees move, listened to the kids playing and blew bubbles- It was a nice afternoon for us all!

New Skills and Thrills

Playing hard and learning new skills... Spring is here and that means many more trips to the park to play!  We found some skate boards a few weeks ago at a garage sale and big J has been determined to learn new tricks.  K has impressed us with his pedaling skills and little J continues his passion for balls and is currently into football, 'ffoff BALL' as he calls it.
The preferred means of travel on this new board is belly down!
He attempts movement on his two legs, but is a still a bit timid.
Tricks are what it is all about, in the grass where it doesn't hurt if he falls!
"Watch this one, Mom!"
And he is off to try the next great adventure, he looks like a little teenager here!
Go K, go!  He makes sure to use his legs to push the pedals...
...He concentrates hard on using his arms to steer so he doesn't go into the rocks!
Yay, look at that humble smirk of accomplishment- We are so proud of you Kyle!
He is off to the sidewalk freedom!
Our lover of balls spends his days at the park in the grass field...
Catching (he gets upset if you try to adjust his hat differently!)...
 Touch Down!
Throwing too!  By the looks of him, you can tell that he takes this game very seriously!
He also manages to find bugs in the grass!
All this excitement calls for a quick snack!
I can't leave C out... His most recent accomplishment is sitting in the Bumbo ;).

Eggs... a little late!

Rejoice, He is risen!  We had many occasions to celebrate Easter this year...

First, G&G Barker put together a fun hunt in their backyard-
It was a surprise for the boys!
Big J knew exactly what to do!
K couldn't believe all the snacks and treats that he was finding!
 Bunny kiss...
He took a break to look at all the prizes he found!
So much to look at for little J...
He found the 'Balls!', of course!
Later that week our whole family made it to the park for the Mom's club egg hunt... J with some of his best friends, they are lined up ready for the hunt to begin!
Ready, set, GO!
It was a great spring day in the park :).
What is inside your eggs?
First family picture as a family of 6... Carter is in the infant carrier on the right, he slept the whole time.
Hummmm, which one is J?... This is the wall friend, they are great buds now!
Easter Sunday was such a busy day and I forgot to attempt any pictures until just before the nice ham dinner at G&G R's house... can you tell the boys were hungry and had a busy day?  It is funny how big J and C have the same expression!
