Happy Birthday Dad!

55 years ago my wonderful dad was born and we celebrated last night with a dinner and cake.  It has been several years since we have actually been there with him on his birthday, so it was nice to sing happy birthday to him and enjoy his company.  Hope you had a great day, dad- we love you! 

It has also been many years since we have had my mom's classic German Chocolate Cake (or dump cake as we like to call it).  It is made in the crockpot, which makes the cake so moist and the topping so gooey rich!  Unfortunately you will have to ask her for the recipe, because I don't have it...

He thought that when we were done singing, that meant go for the cake, it is time to eat!
