mini window garden

Kyle, our all out science kid, has been interested in every aspect of gardening this year... Last year I saw a project in a Family Fun Magazine that stayed in the back of mind to someday try.  This year seemed like the perfect opportunity.  Here we go!

He is at the stage of making goofy faces in his pictures! Showing us his seed.

Just use a hobby card collection holder sheet, add moistened soil and then add a seed or two!
 Curious watcher.
They get to practice fine motor skills while using a dropper to water their gardens.
Suction cup it to a window and watch it grow.
Do you see the sprouts?  They are basil.

We do that in class, but we use a coffee filter to stay wet and the eventually they get big enough to plant. So fun!

Do you put the filter in the pocket? Does it have soil too? What veggie?
