Pedaling, yippee!

So for over a year, Josh has tried to figure out his little tricycle... He just could not figure out the pedaling mechanism to make it go. After a few attempts at bringing it with us on walks so he could have long stretches to figure it out we came to the conclusion that his legs were probably too long for this particular bike and we were keeping our eyes out for a good deal on another. This summer Josh pretty much gave up on figuring out the pedals and would just scoot along with bumping his shins with the pedals ever rotation... As you can imagine, he looked pretty funny inching along! Well, we finally gave up trying to show him because he was getting so stubborn about it and sure enough the other day he came running into the house yelling, "Mom, I can PEDEL!!!!".

Shhhh, don't tell him, but  awhile back I found a big bike on clearance that we plan on giving to him for his 4th birthday... for now, he can practice on his trike!

After he showed me that he could pedal, he literally was jumping for joy, I have never seen him so excited about one of his accomplishments.
